Disneyland Paris

Disneyland

Disneyland Paris, located 19 miles east of Paris, combines the joyful Disney magic with French culture. The complex, opened in 1992 as Euro Disney, includes two theme parks, seven resort hotels, and Disney Village, a shopping and entertainment center.

All of your old Disney favorites are there, including Monsieur Mickey, as well as some attractions with a French twist. Disneyland Paris attracts more than 12 million visitors each year, from all over the world, making it one of the most popular sites in Europe.

Disneyland Park Paris

Like its cousins in California and Florida, Disneyland Park Paris is divided into five distinct areas: Main Street USA, Discoveryland, Fantasyland, Adventureland, and Frontierland. Guests enter via Main Street USA, a recreation of turn of the (20th) century small town American with shops, food stands, and street players. The other areas fan out from Sleeping Beauty's Castle (the icon of the park), located at the end of Main Street.

Many of Disney's favorite attractions are featured here, included Space Mountain, "It's a Small World," and the Mad Hatter's Teacup ride. New attractions include Buzz Lightyear's Laser Blast. The Disneyland railroad circles the perimeter of the park and makes stops at Adventureland, Frontierland, and Discoveryland.

Walt Disney Studios Park

Added in 2002, Walt Disney Studios Park is a working television and motion picture studio as well as a theme park. Park attractions include the Studio Tram Tour, the Rock 'n Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith, and the Moteurs … Action! stunt show spectacular.

Visiting Disneyland Resort Paris

Disneyland Resort Paris is easily reached from Paris via the autoroute or by taking the RER commuter train to the Marne-la-Vallee/Chesney station, which stops directly in front of Disneyland Park Paris.
